We had the pleasure of working with Toby Trembath in selling the condo of our mother (mother-in-law).  We had recently sold our own home in Vancouver so we have had many dealings with realtors lately.  Without a doubt, Toby was the most diligent and professional of them all.

Firstly, we invited three Victoria area realtors to peruse the place and give us quotes.  The other two looked at the condo in a disinterested manner and that was it.  Not only did Toby seem enthusiastic and personable, he followed up with a presentation of pictures and other pertinent information.  We were very impressed.

Not once did Toby make us feel that our property was "small potatoes" even though we knew it was.  He treated us as if we were his most important clients and he worked diligently on our behalf.

This is to introduce Toby Trembath, a realtor currently working for Newport Realty.

When I decided to put my home on the market, I telephoned four realtors I had come to know and asked each one to tell me why I should choose him or her as my realtor.  Toby alone met all my criteria – personable, knowledgeable, extremely careful, with a good knowledge of property law, and definitely not a corner cutter. 

Toby has an eye for detail that I felt would serve me well, and his honesty and trustworthiness were obvious as we talked.  I signed the papers and the house went on the market.

Toby did a beautiful presentation of my house, complete with professional photos and a virtual tour, and saw that the pictures got on the web immediately.   He asked me for input into the presentation, and was careful to include some of the features that I felt made my home special.  He arranged for two open houses shortly after the house went on the market, and saw that they were properly advertised.

Toby and I worked together during a very busy season for real estate sales, and his refusal to let things slide because he was rushed or busy was remarkable.  If I called, he got back to me immediately.  He kept me apprised of any new developments and gave me an honest opinion of how he thought the house would show and what kind of price I could expect.  All went as planned, and the house sold quickly.

Toby also helped me with the purchase of my new place.  He was scrupulous in displaying “due diligence” on any property that I considered, and his friendly yet professional manner allowed him to interact easily and successfully with other realtors.
